7. What payment methods do you accept?

We currently offer online payments via WPM and in person Card Payments via Verifone. Then for monthly payments Direct Debits via BACS. 

On our new platform we intend to continue to offer in person payments, but that will be via Adyen as the Universities new payment acquirer of choice. 

To streamline, for online and monthly recurring memberships we will also use Adyen.

- Monthly memberships would be collected via continuous card authority (with banking data handled securely by Adyen rather than the University) an automated debit card payment, rather than a BACS bank deduction.
- It will not be possible or neccessary to pay per month at the till.

Payment by card is covered by specific securty guidence.

There will not be a Direct Debit membership option, at least not initially.  

We believe all members can pay via a debit or credit card, but some many visiting international students and staff cannot pay in GBP Sterling for a DD from their native bank account. Moving to recurring card payments we feel will exclude fewer people from using the facilities.
