11. How will I access facilities

We had the options to move access control over to either  

- Finger print scanning or 

- QR codes 

In recognition of potential sensitivity around sharing biometric data just for access control, we have opted to proceed to with QR codes, which will involve using your telephone to scan a QR code on a GT-& Ganter device like those shown below. 

 

For spaces without access control where you check in by telling the front desk you have arrived, like the Hockey pitch, it will now be possible to scan at the gate to check-in - rather than have to wait at reception.

Similarly in other remote locations like University Parks, we will begin using QR codes where a reception desk is absent or too far away, so you could check in on your court or pitch booking.
