Why are you changing our membership software
Several reasons really.
Mainly, the current platform was on a fixed term contract, and we went back to market with a competitive tender.
Lots of feedback from customers and our team has informed the process as our current platform is the market leader, many members find it quite difficult to use.
Timeline
2024/25 - Scoping of 13 other prospective Sports customer facing platforms
May 2025 - Drafted our invite to tender for a new software platform which detailed areas of focus that members cite as being frustrating.
June 2025 - 7 companies expressed interest in the contract, this was reduced down to a Shortlist of Three including the existing platform.
July 2025 - Contract was awarded subject to contract.
Autumn/Winter 2025/26 - Enabling works, data protection assesments, staff training and draft system build.
February 2026 - We will begin building the new live system. While also working on new terms and conditions, updated privacy policy.
March 2026 - Staff training on the new system will begin, with expected closures or slower service as we take front line staff out of ciculration for staff training.
Provisionally 15th April 2026 - Go Live on DelCom for Memberships and Bookings
April/May 2026 - go live on Block Bookings / Invoiced bookings
June/July 2026 - go live with online retail shop and courses.
We have been with Gladstone MRM since 2016/17.
We do expect to move to our new platform DelCom on or after 1st April 2026, but no later than Autumn 2026. However we are pressing for a Spring/Summer launch while it is quieter so staff have more space to think and adjust before the new academic year.
