15. What ways will there be to make and amend bookings?
We will continue to offer bookings online, via the new Delcom platform, via a Mobile App and in person at the front desk. Those are the fastest way to book.
It will remain possible to email and call the front desk, but we don't recommend that for time senstitive matters as the front of house team will always prioristise members who've made the trip to the centre in person over those emailing or calling.
We are looking at specific booking terms. The current 2 hour cut off for cancellations was agreed with members at a member forum in 2022.
- It was thought to be a reasonable length of time for a member awaiting a space to spot a space, book a spot and dash to get whatever kit they needed for the activity before travelling to the centre.
With real time communication possible on the new platform, it maybe possible we can try waiting lists again to nudge members, and be able to reduce the cancellation/amendment period down from the current 120mins.
